A tad off topic, but trim the little excess plastic on the letters. It looks horrible. I spent like an hour trimming these pieces off of my board because it just looks so tacky if you don’t.

What does this even apply to? This is a catch all for nothing and is some terrible advice/motivation. A better/simpler example for a similar concept would be “the darker the night, the brighter the stars.”

When my husband and I were on our honeymoon (1994), we rented a car to drive from Southport (not far from Liverpool), England, to Scotland - Inverness was our ultimate destination. I was in charge of navigation, and at one point the main Motorway veered off to Perth (which would take us a long distance out of our way), so I decided to save us some time and directed him along roads that seemed more direct toward Inverness. (Did I mention that we are both Americans and had limited experience driving in the UK?) Anyway, how was I to know that the more numbers and letters a marked highway had meant the more remote and unlit and, well, less like any marked highway we'd ever encountered in the US. We literally had to stop the car at a few points to shoo sheep off of the road so that we could continue on our way. By the time we got to Inverness it was around 3:30AM, and who knew that even major chain hotels actually closed for the night at a certain time?! We ended up sleeping (or trying to) in our tiny Ford Fiesta at a rest stop. Oh, and by the way, the rest rooms apparently also closed at a certain hour, since they were padlocked. I would have squatted in the nearby bushes as dawn broke, except that now there were half a dozen semi-trucks (er, "articulated lorries") now parked around us. Luckily, a worker showed up with a key moments later and unlocked everything,

It sure can or it can lead to more difficult roads, or places which are hard to return from, or tire punctures. Just because you are on a difficult road, it doesn't guaranties success. Infact, if you blindly go by what you say, you might get fucked without realizing what wrong did you do, ie, taking things for granted.

There’s this steep, curvy, half-dirt, half-gravel road of death in Southern Oregon. To add to the fun, it’s on a cliff face, with limited railings naturally. The beach at the bottom is absolutely beautiful and with the cliff face it makes it look like you’ve fallen off the face of the Earth.

Sometimes. Sometimes they just lead to more difficulty. Sometimes really easy roads lead to beautiful places. Sometimes you don't know you were in a beautiful place till you hit the road. Sometimes people tell you it's a beautiful place and all you see is a shitty road that beats the fuck out of your car and back and costs you too much to fix that you never make it to whatever destination mystic bullshit dreaming told you was at the end of a stupid, stupid road.
